Classe Touriste is a contributor to the Travel Top 100 from the excellent Gourmet Traveller magazine in Australia. We selected Lyngen Lodge in Norway for skiing down pristine fjord mountains and with the Northern Lights as après-ski entertainment. Another winner at number 60 is the sparkly Diamond First Class from Etihad Airways, one of our ultimate favourites in the air. Flying First with Etihad Airways makes long haul flying fun and not only because of the excellent food and 10-year-old Bollinger champagne. If you go cruising to Antarctica, why not skip the feared Drake Passage and fly from Chile to Antarctica to expedition along the highlights, minus the rough seas. At number 11, find Antarctica XXI that makes this all possible. We also voted for First Luggage, the UK based luggage service, which makes light travel possible by delivering your suitcases to the hotel. We must admit that going around the world in business class, was one of the most exciting things we ever did. With oneworld we flew with Finnair, British Airways, American Airlines, Air Mexicana, JAL and Cathay Pacific around the world for a price of proably one business class ticket to Hong Kong. Real travelista’s don’t have to ask what our top three is. We were extremely charmed by British Airways new World Traveler Class and the T5 facilities at Heatrow. The cabin of the World Traveler Class offers an excellent lay-out in the airplane with a decent amount of privacy for those wanting to sleep or relax.
